Founder & Executive Director, Mentally Free Outreach

This vision inspired her to establish Mentally Free Outreach, a nonprofit organization committed to providing wraparound services. Wraparound care means surrounding individuals with the full spectrum of support they need mental health treatment, sober living housing, job readiness, life skills, community connections, and emotional guidance. It is about giving people the tools to thrive, not just survive.

Santissa has invested in multiple homes in the Pittsburgh community with the mission of transforming them into sober living residences. Through this effort, she aims to reduce crime, increase neighborhood value, and most importantly, give individuals a safe place to heal and grow. She believes that true community change begins when people are given the stability, resources, and encouragement they need to rebuild their lives.

With her clinical expertise, entrepreneurial vision, and unwavering heart for service, Santissa leads Mentally Free Outreach as both a healer and a builder dedicated to restoring freedom and creating lasting change in both people and communities.”

Santissa Clapp is a Board-Certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner with 10 + years of experience serving individuals and families facing complex mental health and substance use challenges. For her, mental health care is not just a career, it is a calling rooted in purpose, compassion, and a desire to see people become the best versions of themselves.

Raised in Kansas City, Missouri, Santissa has always been passionate about uplifting communities and providing opportunities for growth and healing. After purchasing her first home in the Pittsburgh neighborhood of Atlanta, Georgia, she witnessed firsthand the impact that drugs and crime had on the area. Instead of turning away, she saw an opportunity to create lasting change not only for individuals struggling with addiction and mental health challenges, but for the neighborhood as a whole.
